Signal Boosting for Cell Phones

January 14th, 2010 · No Comments · General Topics

CellSignalAs more and more people are abandoning their landlines (physical phone lines) in their homes and utilizing their cell phones, it might be prudent to invest in equipment that provides a stronger cell signal for clearer conversations.  Most homes have a few dead spots in them, meaning either call gets garbled or no reception is possible at all.

If you have a home office, it is important to present a professional image and garbled or lost parts of the calls just don’t cut it.

Losing reception while you are drive can be frustrating. I am sure you have had that experience more than once.  Talking away only to realize you were disconnected because you drove thru a tunnel, large truck for some reason blocked the signal, or just going around a curve. This can get annoying, again especially if you use your cell phone for business and the calls are important.

The equipment to boost cell signals is  referred to as cell phone boosters or cell phone repeaters. The costs will vary depending on the area of coverage. Car cell phone antennas range in price from $180 to $297 and for homes will vary on the square footage, for up to 2500 square feet the costs will start at $350.
